Introduction
Nine years after licensing and installing New World Systems integrated Aegis Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management, Mobile Computing and many additional modules, the Germantown, TN Police Department continues to enhance its infrastructure and processes with new and innovative software solutions from New World.
Within the last year, the Department upgraded its Mobile Computing solution, and implemented Handheld Mobile and the Tennessee Incident Based Report Systems (TIBRS) Interface. The TIBRS Interface generates compliant reports required by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI), which can then be submitted electronically, saving the Department valuable time.
The new technology allows us to utilize our resources more efficiently, said Chief of Police Richard Hall, Germantown Police Department. Officers can quickly look up information on suspects, license plates and much more from our Records Management database and NCIC without having to contact dispatchers.
