* Conference attendees planning to participate in the “Mobile 8.x Lab” will be required to bring their own laptop and complete several Microsoft updates before arriving at the conference to ensure timely installation of Mobile 8.0. More information on these updates is provided below.

Mobile Lab

Experience Mobile 8.0
At the 2008 Aegis Executive Conference everyone will have a chance to explore, provide feedback on direction, and actually use the newest version of Mobile Computing. During this hands-on lab you will see the new deployment model and have the opportunity to experiment with Messaging, Field Reporting and the future of Aegis Inquiry. A test database will be set up, allowing participants to self-dispatch, view active units and communicate within Mobile Messaging.

Be prepared to participate. What you need to know:

  • This session is open to everyone, participants are not required to have licensed any previous version of Mobile
  • Bring your laptop computer – New World cannot supply computers for this lab
  • Please make sure you prepare your computer with the following updates in advance of the conference, as they may take time to download:
    • Windows XP SP2 - All Windows Hotfixes are suggested
    • .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0 (3.5 Framework is optional) – All Service packs for .NET Framework MSMQ
  • We recommend that all laptop users have access to their administrative account for any on-site trouble shooting (installing Mobile 8.0 does not require administrative privileges, but Microsoft Hotfixes and components may require it) Mobile 6.x
  • Note: Mobile 8.x supports side-by-side deployment with Mobile 6.x and will not affect your current installation.

What is included in the conference packages?
Package A: $945 Includes two (2) nights at the Camelback Inn, conference registration, meals and all conference activities

Package B: $645 Includes conference registration, meals and all conference activities. (Lodging not included).

What meals are included?
New World will provide a continental breakfast and a lunch both Monday and Tuesday. A light dinner will be provided Sunday night at the hospitality reception and a full dinner Monday evening at the customer appreciation event.

How do I book extra nights at the hotel?
Additional nights are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

When filling out the 2008 Conference Registration form online, please fill in arrival and departure dates. New World will book all rooms, including any additional nights. Please contact Ruth Ann Hines at New World Systems for more information on booking additional nights.

How much does an extra night at the hotel cost?
An additional night’s stay at the Camelback Inn is $239.00 plus 11.92% tax.

What is the charge for parking at the hotel?
Parking at the Camelback Inn is complimentary.

What is the dress code for the conference?
Dress for the Wild West! New World recommends jeans and comfortable shoes for an evening in America’s Old West for Customer Appreciation Night. There are no events at this year’s conference that require a dress code. We look forward to seeing everyone comfortable and looking their best.

What is the cancellation or substitution policy?
All cancellations must be made in writing. A full refund will be made if notified before March 28th, 2008. Cancellations made after March 28th, will be subject to a $200 administrative fee. Substitutions for a registered attendee may be made by another employee, by notifying Ruth Ann Hines and the submission of a new registration form.

Can my spouse or guest attend?
Yes! Please include their name and make note that they will not be attending the conference when you register online. Please contact New World Systems for additional information.

How much free time will we have?
Due to overwhelming requests from Conference Attendees and success from last year’s conference schedule, we have included more sessions on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday Morning. Your free time is based on what sessions you want to attend.

How much one-on-one consultation will we receive?
You will be able to schedule a one-on-one consultation with your Customer Care Representative or Project Manager starting Sunday afternoon until the end of the day Tuesday. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to schedule Service and Support consultations throughout the conference.
